Humanist ceremonies are often chosen by those who feel that their ideals and beliefs are ethical rather than religious. Humanism is about reason and logic, a concern for humanity and the natural world, a morality that lives within us all. This is manifested in acts of kindness, respect and social responsibility towards others, and it is these elements which can make a humanist wedding so special. Humanist weddings may not be traditional but that doesn't make them any less meaningful!
Your wedding ceremony will be written especially for you and will be a reflection of what marriage means to you both. I will work with you to ensure that every moment of your day is significant to you, from the location, the readings and the music, to the symbolic acts and personal vows or promises. This could be a semi-traditional service in a barn or a completely bonkers exchange of vows in a ski-lift. Funerals and Remembrance

Saying goodbye to those we love is the hardest thing to bear. It is almost incomprehensible that someone so full of life and love has suddenly ceased to be. A humanist funeral or memorial service allows you the opportunity to celebrate a life that meant so much to so many, in a meaningful and unique way.

Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a wonderful opportunity for you to welcome your child into the world, surrounded by your family and friends. Naming ceremonies are a fabulous alternative to religious ceremonies. Like all humanist ceremonies, they are written especially for you making them truly unique. They can take place in your garden, in a forest, on a beach - anywhere that is special to your family.
